On the Tenth Day of Christmas, my True Love gave to me… Ten Lords Leaping, nine ladies dancing, eight maids milking, seven swans swimming, six geese laying, five golden rings. Four calling birds, three french hens, two turtle doves, and a partridge in a pear tree.
I had to chuckle at this pencil drawing from J. Ferwerda Art showing a frog leaping over a stack of ten books, all of which have the word “lord” in the title…amongst them being Lord of the Rings, Lord of the Flies, The Lord’s Prayer, and a book of poetry by Lord Byron.

This led me to recall a popular children’s game from days long past. And I couldn’t resist this print, since its offered by an Etsy site called Vintage Beach (and my birth name happens to be Virginia Beach…)
