Meet the newest members of the Crossroads family!

(I apologize for the poor quality of these pictures, they were taken with my SideKick 2 as I don’t own a digital camera at this time… hopefully more and better pictures will be taken soon with my friend’s camera)

This is Karma, a little black-and-white female… I think she’s going to grow up to be a pretty longhaired cat, but right now she’s more of a fuzzball!

This is her brother Gandalf, who is gray-and-white and has shorter hair…

They are around seven weeks old, and were adopted from a family who had stray female who had a litter of six kittens. Gandalf is bigger and more outgoing, and very loving… he likes to curl up on my lap while I’m watching TV. Karma is smaller and a bit more shy… she’s not as friendly and sometimes likes to go off and hide behind the furniture. I think she may have been the only female in the bunch (seems there were a lot of boys in that litter) and got bullied a bit by her bigger brothers. But she can hold her own… when she and Gandalf play-fight, she gives as good as she gets! She’s also not afraid to give him a growl or two when he tries to steal her food (I feed them out of separate dishes so they each get their own share).

I just got them yesterday and they are still settling in, but so far both are doing well. They add a lot of joy to my life, and they are so cute to watch. Of course, they are not so cute at two o’clock in the morning when they decide to use my bed as their playground and go chasing mommy’s toes! They are still little enough that they can’t do a lot of damage at this point, but they certainly do have a lot of energy… although they also take a lot of catnaps. I just hope as they get older and bigger they don’t go getting into stuff and breaking my pottery!

Here’s a few more pictures…
