My apologies for the delay in announcing the winners for the Equal Communication Access Blogging/Vlogging Contest. Things were a little delayed due to circumstances beyond our control, but the judges have made their final decisions, and it’s now time to share the results!
We did not have as many entries as we had hoped, but nevertheless we all enjoyed reading the various entries which were submitted, and would like to take this moment to thank all of our participants. For those of you who have not read all of the ECA entries, you can check out the list on this post here at the Crossroads…
So without any further ado, here are our final results!

Congratulations to our contest winners!
Please note: We are currently working with our volunteers to convert these winning blogs into ASL vlogs for our Deaf readership. However, there has been some delay on this effort. Rather than postpone our announcement any further, we decided to go ahead and announce our winning entries, and ask for your patience as we continue to work on the ASL translation. Hopefully those vlogs will be finished and posted in the near future. Our apologies, and thanks to everyone for supporting Equal Communication Access!
Congratulations to the contest winners!
I thought all of the entries were excellent, and I enjoyed reading them all.
As a hearing person, I have come to realize that Equal Communication Access is as important to me as it is to the Deaf Community that depends upon it.
Access is something that we tend to take for granted. The lessons that ECA can teach us are important in realizing the role that each and everyone of us plays in assuring true equality for all.
We deserve nothing less.
