I’ve arrived home safe and sound from the National Women’s Music Festival, held at Illinois State University in Normal (???), Illinois.
Four days of non-stop activities. Four days of networking with other women from all across the nation and all around the world. Four days of making new friends, and getting reacquainted with old ones. Four days of attending workshops, rituals, drum jams, and concerts. Four days to remember how wonderful it feels to be a woman, sitting in circles of women. Four days of magick.
I’m exhausted.
I’m tired, but it’s a good tired.
Kudos to the organizers of this event for making it a success. Kudos to the interpreters for making it accessible. Kudos to the workshop presenters for sharing their knowledge with all of us. Kudos to the performers for filling the air with their music.
Congratulations to all who made the event what it was…a memorable experience.
There were many pictures taken, and I am waiting to receive some of them – then I hope to do a nice post for everyone to share those four days in more detail.
Thanks to all the wonderful women I met who made those four days the memorable experience they are.
You know who you are.
I hope you know how much you mean to me.
Thank you.
