You described your ritual so well that I felt like being there, and could almost feel the candles' warmth. It's a shame that I didn't join this worldwide time... Actually I never had this (shame on me again!!), but you gave me something to add in my routine, at least a monthly lights-off time. Thanks for that! I was offline for the past days because me, my hubby AND Lucas got sick, like a domino game, one after the other. At the blog I explain it better... not something that I want to repeat! Have a great day, kisses from Nydia. *bright blessings*

This is a lovely post about a serious subject. :)

I just wish big business would get as involved as individuals. Just think how much energy would be saved if Wal-Mart turned off their parking lot lights when their stores are closed.

You know me well, HAWK!

Anyone who has ever done a ritual with me (or even just spent some time at my home) is well aware of my "fondness" for incense.

Yes, there was incense burning... I burned some loose incense in my little cast iron cauldron during my private meditation, and then we had a stick of incense burning during Earth Hour.

And no, we didn't set off the smoke detector.
