If you flash all your beliefs and being deaf and fire walking in people’s faces in any way, of course they are going to feel as if you are putting yourself above them. It’s natural human reactions is all. Especially when it is things they cannot relate to or do not understand or even know anything about.

I don’t believe that it is something you have done wrong necessarily. It is your right to be very proud of your accomplishments!! You deserve to do so, but in doing so you must also be aware of the reaction you will most likely get from expressing yourself in that way is all. :)
